Double Standards
Why is it we always do a double take when we see / hear that
1. the girl is taller than the guy
2. the girl is fatter than the guy
3. the girl earns more than the guy
4. the girl is older than the guy
5. the girl comes from a better background than the guy
6. the girl is having an affair
But it seems to be the norm when the opposite happens?

Haha... very simple girl... if all of the premise you stated are true, the girl doesn't seem to need the guy at all since she can look after herself. Even if she needs his company, premise 6 would indicate she can switch company anytime =)

Recently my church touched on this: that man & woman play different roles in a relationship, esp. marriage. Essentially the biblical stand is that in a family, man is called to lead, while woman is to support the man. Of course, in today's modern society, how do we apply that? If a woman's career is more successful than the man's, what does it mean? You the woman, you tell me :)
