What is the correct way of using the whiteboard? Does one really need to learn that? Or be taught how to use the whiteboard? My students obviously.
I asked some of them to come up to the board to show their answers, and when they went back to their seats, the whole board area was in a mess! What is this?!?! Don't you all know simple whiteboard etiquette?
1. No need to fight over who to write where on the whiteboard. It is definitely big enough.
2. After using the markers, you have to cap them back instead of leaving it out to dry.
3. Then you should return them to the place where you got them, instead of throwing it all over the table.
4. If you are using the duster, you should do the same as for the markers and return it to the place where you got it.
Wasted a few minutes of my lesson time giving them this stupid lecture on whiteboard etiquette. Bah!
On a separate note, my HOD is purchasing this thing called
mimio, which will make the whiteboard interactive. Quite excited about it as the whole department has only 2 sets and he's letting me have it! Yay!
OMG! I just realised that one of my student's dad is a motor magnate! Want to buy a Porsche, Saab, Rolls-Royce, Mini or Opel? He's the man!
