Sounds of Music

Gasp! I've only recently realised that I can no longer whistle like I used to before I had my braces! I guess I'm a slow one as I've already had my braces for more than half a year. Anyway, not being able to whistle well is not a big loss right? My mom should be happy at this loss of my special talent as she always says I'm so 'samseng' (aka tomboy) when I do it.
Anyone remembers this advertisment from a certain courier service about this irritating bird that kept 'whistling' to a dog (or was it cat?) and the dog/cat sent it off to Siberia using its service. I remember the last part best cos the bird was like exclaiming "SIBERIA?!?!" in an extremely high pitched voice. Serves it right.

SAfivers

My class during college days was SA 5, so I am a SAfiver. That's what our class used to call ourselves - survivors. SAfivers, survivors! Get it??

At our annual CNY gathering with Xie Laoshi, the guys announced their wedding plans. Gosh! So many red bombs this year. BT in July, K in November, CH and WK in December, V in February next year. Seems like only the girls are going to be the ones left single. Where are all the good guys?

Happy V Day

Happy Valentine's Day to all couples and Happy Friendship Day to all singles! Muaks to everyone!
Friend N was just lamenting about an ex who gave him an ipod and mobile phone, when he himself is earning big bucks! The world is so unfair. I know N you are reading this! Sigh.... wish I had someone who would give me something. Oh well, I'm an independent gal who buys her own toys!
Latest object of desire: Samsung Juke. Friend W already has it and when N and I saw him using it, we both squealed in delight.
I'm such a sucker for pretty phones! Only drawback is it doesn't have 3G support. Another friend, L, aptly pointed out: we never need 3G when we own a 3G phone, but when we get a non 3G phone, we would somehow be going off to Japan for a holiday. Bah! Murphy's Law!

Goodbye Jinan!

The symbolic sculpture of Jinan city at Quan Cheng Square.

Realised that I had been in Jinan for a long time but I've never really posted any photos from there. I suppose the main reason is that there isn't much to show. Jinan is pretty much a grey and dusty city. I now know the meaning of 'frog in well' after I visited bigger cities like Beijing and Shanghai. It was liberating seeing Starbucks, Mango, Zara, H & M, Uniqlo, Muji, etc after being stuck in Jinan all this time. To think that Jinan is the city of Shandong province. I guess Shandong is too ulu for Stabucks or any big brands to want to try to break into the market.

The main entrance of the training school that I was with.

Last photo shot with Gem and Marvin. Boohoo! I will miss them so much, and the delicious burgers they make for my breakfast!
