The Moment I Wake Up

Who's the first person you think of the moment you open your eyes? Now that I'm alone most of the time, I'm starting to think alot..... Nothing really deep but just thinking about people whom I love and people who possibly love me too. I wake up every morning thinking...... of them...... of him...... of her......

I think to myself what I might possibly be saying to the one I'm thinking of..... "How are you today?", "Did you have a good sleep?", "What will you be doing today?", "Remember to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.", "Be careful on the road, watch for the traffic.", "I wish you a happy day."

Ice Ice Baby

The ice cream here is fantastic! Fabulous! Delicious! Yummy! Tasty! Slurp! Lick! I love the ice cream here, especially the green bean flavoured one! It's know as 绿色心情, or 'green mood / feeling'. But after eating it, I feel everything but green! Haha! How is one supposed to feel when one is green anyway? Are you 'green with envy' of my encounter with this delectable ice cream?

City of Kites

I spent the last weekend in Wei Fang (潍坊), or city of kites. This city is about 3 hours away from the place that I'm currently at. But the air there is 10 times cleaner. Even the sky looks more blue in Wei Fang.
Since I was in the city of kites, I naturally had to visit the kite museum. The photo on the left shows the 100 characters of ‘梁山好汉’made into kites. In the second photo is the ‘龙头蜈蚣’, which is supposedly the 'king of kites'.

I also visited the 富华游乐园. It is a small scale amusement park with nothing really fantastic. But scaredy cat me still didn't take any of the rides..... The rides are bad for my weak heart you know!

Overload

The men in Shandong province are known as 山东大汉. I finally understood why today. I entered the lift with five 山东大汉 today. When a sixth 山东大汉 tried to enter, the lift went 'beep beep'. I looked up at the maximum load allowed for that lift, and it read 750 kg. 750kg!!! That means each men weighed 100 over kg!!! How can that be? They didn't look that fat. They are either really huge 山东大汉 or there's something wrong with the lift.

Hot Cold Hot

When I arrived in Jinan on Sunday, it was sunny and the weather was basically shouting summer! I was really happy because that meant that I could still wear my lovely summer dresses and skirts! When Monday came, which was also my first day of work, I dressed for summer but it rained! The whole day! It was cold!!!! Brrrrr..... Bad move...... No more skirts for me.

It wasn't raining on Tuesday but the sky was grey..... Better to be warm than cold, and having learnt my lesson on Monday, I pulled out my long sleeved top and my woolly cardigan. Another bad move...... The sun came out shortly after I reached school and I was practically perspiring the whole day!

It's Wednesday today and I'm finally correctly dressed! I hate the changing weather! I dread getting dressed every morning because I cannot decide if I want to look pretty but freeze, or look dumpy but warm. I think the latter is a more logical option. Anyway, there's no one to impress over here!
